Pakistan Bridge Federation announces 22nd BFAME Championship

LAHORE (8th Dec 2022): The 22nd Bridge Federation of Asia and Middle East (BFAME) Championship organized by the Pakistan Bridge Federation (PBF) has been announced to be held in Pakistan.

In this regard, a ceremony was held at the Gymkhana Club in Lahore, the provincial capital of Punjab, in which a memorandum was signed for holding the 22nd BFAME Championship in Pakistan. President of the Pakistan Bridge Federation Mubasher Lucman and President of the Bridge Federation of Asia and Middle East Bahajat Majali signed the agreement. General Secretary of Pakistan Bridge Federation Ehsan Qadir, Manager of Pakistan Bridge Federation Secretariat Kazim Naqvi, and other members were also present on this occasion.

Under the leadership of the President of the PBF, Mubasher Lucman, a series of practical steps are being taken for the promotion of Bridge in Pakistan. The 22nd BFAME Championship organized by the Pakistan Bridge Federation after 2007 in Pakistan will be held in May next year in Lahore, the provincial capital of Punjab. The championship which will be starting on May 3 will continue till May 11. During this players and teams from 22 countries including India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Jordan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Syria, and Lebanon will participate. With the results of the championship in Lahore, eight countries will qualify for the World Bridge Championship. The World Bridge Championship will be held in Morocco in August next year.

While addressing a press conference on this occasion, Mubasher Lucman said that anyone can participate in this game, be it, men or women, everyone can participate in this game. Even children and there will be no restrictions on anyone.

The President of the Bridge Federation of Asia and Middle East Bahajat Majali said on this occasion: “The President of Pakistan Bridge Federation is Mubasher Luqman, who is active for the promotion of Bridge, Pakistan Bridge Federation is working well and providing facilities to Bridge players. We are grateful to Mubasher Lucman and the Pakistan Bridge Federation, whose efforts will bring international players to Pakistan and see the culture of Pakistan”.

President of Pakistan Bridge Federation Mubasher Lucman believes that the Bridge Federation of Asia and Middle East Championship is an important step for the promotion of Bridge. Under the auspices of the Pakistan Bridge Federation, bridge tournaments will be held in other cities of Pakistan, while those who wish to learn bridge will be given free training under the auspices of the Pakistan Bridge Federation. It is a mental game, it puts a lot of stress on the mind. This game player can become an excellent planner and decision-maker.
